a unique glass bottom boat trip in mallorca

Discover the captivating landscape of Mallorca’s north coast aboard our glass-bottom boat.

What will be the itinerary for our glass-bottom boat tour?

We depart from Puerto de Alcudia, sailing towards the stunning Coll Baix Beach, passing by Aucanada Lighthouse, where we will stop for a refreshing swim. We continue northwards to Cape Pinar, taking in the impressive rocky formations of the cliffs. During the journey on our glass-bottom boat, you’ll be able to watch Mallorca’s marine life in the shallow areas, provided the sea is calm. Finally, we return to Puerto de Alcudia.

We depart from Puerto de Alcudia and make several stops along the bay to pick up passengers, taking in the stunning scenery of Alcudia Bay. Once the pickup is complete, we set course towards the stunning Coll Baix Beach.

En route to Coll Baix, we will pass by Aucanada Lighthouse, an iconic lighthouse situated on a small island that offers spectacular views of the sea. Upon reaching Coll Baix, we will make a stop for a refreshing swim in its crystal-clear waters, allowing you to enjoy a moment of relaxation in this unique natural environment.

After our time at Coll Baix, we continue sailing northwards to Cape Pinar. Here, you can admire the impressive folds in the rocks, formed by tectonic and gravitational forces. These cliffs are not only a visual spectacle but are also home to diverse flora and fauna, making them a point of interest both geologically and biologically.

Throughout the journey, our glass-bottom boat will allow you to observe the rich marine life of Mallorca through the windows located at the bottom of the boat, provided that the depth and sea conditions allow. You’ll be able to see fish and other marine creatures in their natural habitat, among the sandy bottom, rocks, algae and marine plants, as we sail along the north coast of the island.

For your convenience, on board the boat there is a bar with a selection of drinks and snacks such as burgers, fries, hot dogs, and ice cream available for purchase. This way, you can relax and enjoy yourself while admiring the scenery and marine life. It is an ideal excursion for families, providing entertainment and learning for both children and adults.

Please note that, depending on weather conditions and other factors, we cannot guarantee or be responsible for the quality of underwater visibility. In some areas of the trip, especially on the way out, the shallow depth increases the chances of seeing the seabed. However, on the way back we sail in deeper waters and, except in some areas, the seabed is not visible, making it more difficult to observe marine life.

Additionally, we remind you that the route may vary to ensure the safety and comfort of all passengers if necessary. Finally, we will return to Puerto de Alcudia, concluding our fascinating excursion.

Join us for an unforgettable experience, exploring both the surface and the depths of the sea of Mallorca!

Okay as a boat trip, but don't expect to see any fish

This trip feels like rip-off. We booked it to actually see some fish, but the glass bottom on our boat was no way close to the pictures you see on the website. There were only two rows of tiny ~40x70cm windows that appear to have been cleaned a long time ago. When asking about the situation, the answer was ‘we changed the boat, we have more than one – either you take or leave it…’ quite an option with kids that are excited for a boat ride -.-

So I certainly don’t recommend to book it, if you intend to use the glass bottom.

If you just want to go on a boat ride, it’s okay. But be aware, that if the 2 hours ride, ~40 minutes are spent picking up other passengers along the coast.

Embarking on this tour along the Bay of Alcudia was a sensational experience. The boat excursion with underwater vision took us to uniquely beautiful places in Mallorca, such as Alcanada Beach and its picturesque lighthouse. The route also took us to Coll Baix, a secluded and natural cove surrounded by a mountainous landscape and stunning turquoise waters. In addition to the beautiful scenery, we were able to view marine flora and fauna through the catamaran’s underwater viewing windows. The only reason I’m not giving five stars is that the bottom of the boat is not glass and there aren’t enough windows for all passengers. However, overall, it was a fantastic experience that I would recommend to everyone.
